Last week, I managed to convince a friend to start writing online.
Writing wasn’t the hard part.
Adopting a new technology stack (Substack, Grammarly, Hemingway App) was.
Writing online was.
Editing to make it readable was.
Publishing articles in public was.
Being open to public criticism was.
Surrendering to a new discipline was.
Believing in somebody else was.
Luckily, I happen to be better at things he needed to work on.
I promised to help him through this process, and he accepted the challenge.
I became an accountability partner, by accident.
Psst..
However, he failed to publish an article yesterday.
But he bounced back with a really good one today.
It’s so well written, it prompted me to write to you about it at 0300 hours.
Disclaimer: My metric to measure the improvement is how he presents his ideas. He already has been one of the finest thinkers I know.
If you don’t want to find an accountability partner for yourself, can you become one?
Say hello to my good friend, Saket.
Best,
Amit
